Where to play
There is no shortage of recreation options in and around Fayetteville. Want to know where you fit in? It's simple. Recreation departments in the city are assigned by school districts. Some schools are assigned to more than one district, giving parents some choices on where their kids take the field.

What you'll need
There are fees associated with playing youth sports ranging anywhere from $20 to $40 per child, depending on the sport and location. Take a birth certificate with you when you go to sign up, as players are grouped by age.
What you can play
Baseball and softball: The spring season runs from mid-April through mid-June. Older players (ages 13-16) can play in leagues that start at the end of the school year. Fall baseball runs from September through October.
Soccer: Indoor season runs from mid-April through June. Fall season runs from September through October.
Basketball: Summer season starts July 12 for Fayetteville-Cumberland Parks and Recreation. Winter season is January and February.
Football: The season runs from mid-September through November
Volleyball: Summer season starts July 12 for Fayetteville-Cumberland Parks and Recreation.
