Marriage licenses and birth certificates

You can get a marriage license or a birth certificate for a Cumberland County native at the Register of Deeds office in the county courthouse at 117 Dick St. For information, check www.ccrod.org or call 678-7775.

If you're a native of another county in North Carolina, you can get a copy of your birth certificate from that county's register of deeds or from the N.C. Vital Records office in Raleigh: vitalrecords.dhhs.state.nc.us /vr/index.html or (919) 733-3526.
