Health facilities offer extensive care

If you're looking for health care in Fayetteville, we've got you covered.

The city is home to one of the largest not-for-profit health systems in the state, Cape Fear Valley Health System, as well as Womack Army Medical Center and a regional veterans medical center.

Cape Fear Valley boasts two hospitals in Fayetteville, Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, a 619-bed acute-care hospital, and Highsmith-Rainey Specialty Hospital downtown. It also operates Bladen County Hospital in Elizabethtown.

Cape Fear Valley has allied with The Cleveland Clinic for its heart surgery program, giving patients access to the heart program that's been ranked No. 1 in the country by U.S. News and World Report for 13 years. In the fall, the health system is expected to open a 132-bed pavilion.
