Cumberland County Chamber of Commerce:
In July, Cumberland County
Business Council unveiled its new
name--the Fayetteville--
Cumberland County Chamber of
Commerce. The chamber will place
more emphasis on attracting and
serving local businesses. Six years
ago, the chamber merged with the
Fayetteville Area Economic
Development Corp. and the
Downtown Development Corp. The
idea was to create one agency
responsible for business and
economic development. Currently,
the chamber has about 1,200
members. Chamber officials hope
to increase that number to at least
1,800, possibly 2,000. 201 Hay St.,
